The Ransom Rifle Master:
For all conditions where Accuracy Counts!
The Ransom Rifle Master may look like other rifle rests. The difference is quality, and attention to detail. As with all products from Ransom International Corporation, every factor that influences accuracy has been considered and optimized in the design of the Rifle Master.
First of all, the Ransom Rifle Master is heavy. Weighing from 16.75 to 19.5 pounds (depending on accessories), the Rifle Master represents a rock-solid platform for evaluating the accuracy of your rifles. Weight and mass are important factors for stability, resistance to vibration, and even possible movement from the bench. Major castings of the Ransom Rifle Master are formed from a carefully-selected metal alloy; an alloy that is designed to minimize harmonic and residual vibrations under actual shooting conditions.
The central elevation mechanism consists of two large-diameter columns fitted to tolerances of .0001 inch, and hardened to retain a tight, precise fit. Even the shape of the threads used for elevation were carefully taken into consideration: Acme-form threads are employed, due to their superior stability under load-bearing conditions.
Bag Plate Options
Three different bag-plate options are available for the Ransom Rifle Master, and can be quickly and easily interchanged depending on shooting requirements.
The Standard Bag Plate represents a sure and steady rest for the rifle's forestock, suitable for the most demanding shooting.
The optional Omni Series® Bag Plate is more elaborate, incorporating a second column and an adapter that allows 360-degree rotation of the plate.
The Windage Adjustment Bag Plate can be used in conjunction with either the Standard or Omni Series plates, and provides precise lateral adjustment of the bag. The Windage Adjustment Bag Plate is invaluable for competition shooting such as BR-50, where the point of aim must be repositioned horizontally across a series of targets.
Any of the bag plate options can be fitted with optional pivoting End Plates, that are fully adjustable and allow variable clamping pressure to the bag.

Forend Stops
The forend stop enables the shooter to return the rifle to the same position on the Ransom Rifle Master for all subsequent shooting. Two models are available: the Standard Forend Stop, designed to provide a positive stop for positioning the rifle. The Competion Forend Stop allows precise positioning of the stop both on the vertical axis, and up to three inches of fore and aft adjustment.
